With virtually scratchproof sapphire crystal screen for flawless optical
quality, lightweight titanium casing for strength without compromise,
and symphonic sound tuned in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen and
with musical punctuation from the London Symphony Orchestra, here’s the
brand-new Vertu Ti: handmade in England and powered by Android. With a
price tag of $10,569, this super-expensive communication device is
notably the very first Android-powered smartphone from the house of
Vertu, the British luxury handset manufacturer which earlier delivered
the Constellation Candy, the Constellation Quest Ferrari that brings to life the spirit of iconic GT car, the Constellation Quest in pink for valentine’s days, and Constellation T, and the Vertu Signature Dragon phones
that mark Year of the Dragon, to name a few. Finished to perfection,
the Vertu Ti is handmade from 184 parts in England by a single
craftsman, and the name and signature of the person who assembled the
phone is laser inscribed onto the inside lid of the SIM card holder.
Skinned with a uniquely tailored user interface, the Vertu Ti runs
Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which combined with the device’s dual
core 1.7GHz processor, 1GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory, turns out to
be one of the most powerful Vertu handset to date, and delivers an
intuitive, highly reactive and powerful experience.
With engineered acoustics, this highly-expensive 180 g Android
smartphone, which is not 4G enabled, features a 3.7” sapphire crystal
screen, casing crafted from grade 5 titanium, 8MP rear camera, and 1.3
MP front facing Skype compliant camera.
Notably, Vertu had chosen Android over Windows as an operating system because it was more established.
Each device has a “concierge” button that connects the caller with a
global team who can provide localised advice and help with events and
restaurant bookings.
This luxury communication device is available in four versions; the
Titanium black PVD red gold mixed metals, titanium black leather,
titanium black alligator, and titanium pure black.
