Daigu, Kinko, Kikusui and Nanten represent spring, summer, autumn and winter.
After being in the news for its V Accessories collection, Vertu is now back to fascinate its discerning clientele with its latest Signature Kissho Collection inspired by Japanese culture to mark the first anniversary of the Vertu Ginza flagship store next month in Tokyo. The new collection will feature handsets adorned with the makie Japanese lacquer technique and designed by the renowned Japenese lacquerware artist Kazumi Murose, who is also the proud holder of a “living national treasure” title. The collection will feature an ultra limited edition of four handsets and each phone features a different design depicting a season - Daigu, Kinko, Kikusui and Nanten to represent spring, summer, autumn and winter. The rich lacquer work combines the precious gold and silver make true to the makie technique, which uses gold or silver powder sprinkled on lacquer. Each handset will sell for $215,720 (20 million yen).
