Phones Review The Vertu Pure Jet Red Gold can be yours for $23100

While you’ll never see us sporting one, we are no stranger to Vertu’s luxury devices and have kept tabs on the company over the past few years. Their latest creation, the Vertu Pure Jet Red Gold, is actually one of their more “plain” smartphones, but it will still set you back a staggering $23,100.
The last time we checked in on Vertu, they had just released the Vertu Clous De Paris for Valentine’s Day. The month isn’t over, but they are back with another device dubbed the Vertu Pure Jet Red Gold. It may lack some of the glitz and glam of its predecessors, but it is one of the classier handsets you’ll see – if you actually ever see one in person. Not many folks will be walking around with a Jet Red Gold in their pocket.
The Vertu Pure Jet Red Gold may be stylish, but its specs are the same as what you’ll find in several of their other handsets. That said, it has plenty of power with a Snapdragon 801 and 2GB of RAM and you’ll have plenty of storage with 64GB. Other features to note include wireless charging, hi-fi speakers, a 13MP rear camera and a 4.7-inch FHD display covered in Sapphire crystal.

As for the extras, you will get 1-2 months concierge service along with access to their “Life” and “Certainty” programs. A few of the perks from those programs include VIP sporting event packages, Silent Circle communication services and access to private members clubs. The titanium and leather design with the Red Gold accents scream luxury as well.
If you have a whole lot of extra cash lying around or just really love smartphones, the Vertu Pure Jet Red Gold can be yours for $23,100. It’s still cheaper than some of the gold and diamond encrusted devices we’ve seen in the past, but it’s certainly not going to be a device for everyone.

At $23,100, Vertu Signature Touch’s Newest Smartphone Really is Pure Jet Red Gold

Wednesday, 18 February 2015 ที่ 04:20
For those unfamiliar with the name Vertu, they are a British manufacturer of luxury, handmade mobile phones…established in 1998 by the Finnish manufacturer of Nokia.  They were subsequently sold to a private equity group but retained a 10-percent share.  By the end of 2013, Vertu has sold 350,000 devices and seem to be most popular in Russia, Asia and the Middle East.  The idea was if people are willing to spend $20,000 for a watch, why not a handcrafted smartphone.  Vertu refers to them as “mobile communications instruments,” not simply mobile phones.  While they make their own models, they also produce limited edition devices and have collaborated with the likes of Ferrari and Bentley.  While there is no questioning the quality of the workmanship, their specifications are usually ‘yesterday’s news.’

Vertu’s latest model belongs to their Signature Touch collection, will run you $23,100 and is aptly named, Pure Jet Red Gold.  It has solid red gold features, including the volume control keys, power/lock key and on the pillow support.  The main body is made out of Grade 5 titanium coated in black PVD and wrapped in black calf leather, “from the Alpine region of Europe and crafted by one of the oldest tanneries.”  Its design makes a bold and beautiful statement…which is exactly what it is supposed to do.

The Pure Jet Red Gold model uses only “world-renowned” companies such as Bang & Olufsen (B&O) for its sound components, Hasselblad for its camera, Qualcomm for its processor and even the ring tones are produced by the London Symphony Orchestra.  They offer 24-hour worldwide concierge service, exclusive access to cultural events and 24/7 remote access technical support and Kaspersky anti-virus and anti-theft protection.
As far as technical aspects – it has a 4.7-inch FHD sapphire crystal display with 473 pixels-per-inch (PPI).  It uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz and 64GB of internal memory.  It sports a 13MP main camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash.  The front-facing camera (FFC) is 2.1MP for video chatting.  It also comes with 13mm x 18mm stereo high fidelity speakers with built-in Dolby Digital Plus surround sound support.  The battery is 2275mAh and is Qi compatible for wireless charging.  It comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC support and a microUSB port.  It is running on Android 4.4 KitKat.

Please look over the photo gallery and you can see what your $23,000 will buy you…but you know the old saying, “If you have to ask the price…”

Bellperre Releases Their Luxury Smartphone Called ‘The Touch’ For a Cool 3k

Monday, 16 February 2015 ที่ 16:23
Last month we reported about the luxury phone market as an emerging growth sector in the smartphone market. Well, add another beautiful phone to the growing list of luxury phones. Bellperre has announced a new phone, the Touch, which will try to compete against the likes of Vertu and Lamborghini. A luxury smartphone is a phone that cost over $2,000 USD. The Bellperre certainly fits that criteria with a price tag of around $3,000 to $3,430 depending on the types of materials you wish to use for your work of art.

The Bellperre Touch is made out of 236L stainless steel and your choice of either American buffalo or alligator leather that comes in a plethora of colors. The cool part about the leather is what the company calls, “Touch Through Leather Technology.” This comes in the form of a leather strip located below the screen that allows for touch controls such as the home and back button. The Touch also comes with a 4.9” Super AMOLED display that has sapphire crystal glass to reduce scratches and fingerprints. But don’t let the beauty of it’s outside fool you. This phone is every bit tough and is capable of taking the normal impacts as well as being flame resistant…you know, in case you want to make a call while grilling some steaks poolside.

In terms of other specifications, the Bellperre Touch is average. It has a dual-core processor running at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM and 48GB of internal storage. It also comes with NFC, Bluetooth, and also has LTE. These features are combined with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel front camera. The display has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
The specs are about the same as a normal mid-range phone. However, take into consideration that the Vertu cost over $20,000 so this phone is definitely a bargain in terms of the luxury phone market. Still it would be nice to have a better display, better camera, and a much better processor if you are going to shell out $3,000. But the point of the luxury phone market is not about specs, it is about looks and status. The Bellperre Touch certainly delivers on both of those requirements. It should be noted that these phones are assembled by hand and thus no two phones are alike. So for $3,000 you get a one of a kind device that is beautiful and elegant and sure to turn a few heads.
